Untreated water flows into the system and passes through the filter belt. The belt rotates when the solids mat on the belt becomes thick and increases the water head. The particles are brought to the top of the belt as the belt turns, where they're then dropped onto a screw auger and conveyed from teh system. The belt then passes over a cleaning brush as it is led back towards the incoming water.
