The DynaDrum is a microscreen filter using cloth media (10  micron to several hundred micron mesh) to filter out fine particles from wastewater.

Influent flows into the drum and through the cloth media by gravity, where particles are captured. When the captured particles accumulate to a certain point, the water level in the drum rises and the filter starts rotating to backwash the filter cloth.

A high pressure backwash spray concentrates the particles washed off the media into a reject flume, where it exits the drum via a reject pipe. No separate washwater tanks are required and the filtration process operates continuously even during backwash, as the washwater is harvested from the clean side of the filter.

The DynaDrum works without pressure and has very low headloss.
