Hydro-Brake Vortex Flow Controls are self-activating, non-mechanical flow controls that initiate a vortex air core within the flow control to throttle and control flows. 

Hydro-Brakes have many applications in wastewater. They control the flow from balancing tanks at wastewater treatment plants, they are used at the outfall of sewer pressure pipes to dissipate erosive flow energy, and they are used in combined systems at the points of stormwater entry to limit storm flows into the pipe network.
