The Zickert Z3900 is a reciprocating scum scraper blade that moves step-by-step along a central drive bar. The central drive bar moves back and forth while carrying the blade forward. The scraper blade is fixed to a sled which is propelled step by step up the drive bar. This alows several scraper blades to be used in the same tank.
For the return, the scraper blade swings up to travel over the scum.
