CLEAN AND INSPECT RESERVOIR AND WATER TANKS SAFELY - ONLINE

Water systems have traditionally been limited to two options for cleaning or inspecting a reservoir or storage tank; empty the tank or send in divers. Both choices are costly, labour intensive and raise confined space safety issues. In addition, both options may require taking the tank off-line, which can adversely affect the distribution system, resulting in potential main breaks, loss of storage capacity and water quality problems.

Now there's a safer, less expensive and more effective way to clean and inspect water tanks - without taking them off-line.VoR Water VR Systems use a remote operated, submersible vehicle to clean and inspect the bottoms of reservoirs without draining them or using divers.

Using brushes and a powerful submersible pump, VR Systems underwater cleaning units remove sediment and can discharge the waste to an approved location, such as a sanitary sewer, a lagoon or truck. Equipped with lights and video cameras, the vehicles are controlled with a joystick while referencing monitors with real time video.

The entire cleaning or inspection process is documented on videotape. In addition, the system can pinpoint the precise position of any leaks and other structural problems.

The advantages of the VR systems' patented technology include:-

  • No tank draining or reservoir downtime - no lost product or capacity
  • Quicker manual cleaning
  • Avoids confined space safety issues and entry permits
  • Up to 95% removal of debris
  • One third the cost of draining tank and cleaning
  • Water quality is not compromised during cleaning - no need to disinfect an empty tank or dechlorinate waste water
  • Waste can be appropriately discharged

Choose from two systems

VoR Water VR Systems are available in two configurations to meet your needs:

  • VR-600 - compact and manhole accessible, cleans up to 1,000sq ft/hr and can handle solids up to .5" dia.
  • VR-800 - larger and more powerful, cleans up to 1,500sq ft/hr and can handle solids up to 1.5" dia.
