The Sludge Press SD is used to dewater sludge from muniicpal and industrial wastewater treatment processes. It delivers 18 to 25% dry solids.
Sludge is pushed by the conveying screw through wedgewire drums. The spiral shaft is conically shaped, to provide a tapered volume that squeezes out liquid as solids are conveyed up the spiral pitch.
The perforated drum is cleaned from the outside and inside to keep the wedgewire clean and efficient.
